The main reason for the fire of Tuv Solar cable
1. Cable installation
The cable laying and installation did not meet the standard requirements, the unit undertaking the construction of the cable project did not carry out the construction according to the specified requirements, the process equipment was poor, and the laying process was not strictly implemented. There is no supervision, self-inspection and mutual inspection in the installation process, so that the completed cable line is not safe, many accidents occur, and it is easy to cause fire during operation.
2. Cable short circuit
A short circuit occurs when the two wires of an AC circuit touch each other, and the current does not flow through the electrical equipment in the circuit, but directly forms a loop. The cable itself has less resistance. If only through the loop of the cable, the current will increase dramatically, which is tens or hundreds of times the normal value. Because the higher the resistance, the more heat is generated, which will cause the wire to heat up to thousands of degrees Celsius in a very short time, enough to ignite nearby combustibles and start a fire.
3. Cable aging Photovoltaic cables are overloaded and heated, ultraviolet rays, ambient temperature changes, cable heat dissipation conditions, and contact with atmospheric and environmental chemicals will cause the cable insulation and outer sheath to age. Among them, the severe overload of the cable is the most important factor to accelerate the aging of the cable insulation. The main reason is that there is information that the long-term overload operating temperature of the cable exceeds the allowable long-term operating temperature of the insulation by 10°, and the insulation life of the cable will be reduced by half. If it is not replaced in time, it is easy to cause a short circuit of the cable and cause a fire.
Measures to prevent cables from catching fire
1. Install the cables according to the standard requirements
Electrical wiring must be installed in strict accordance with electrical installation regulations, and a full-time electrician must be hired for wiring, and the electrician must be certified.
2. Choose the right cable
Choose an appropriately sized circuit. Don't use cables that are too thin or of low quality to make them cheap. When choosing a cable, please pay attention to check whether it is a qualified product.
3. Safe use of cables
Do not randomly pull, connect or randomly add installed cables, this will increase the power load of the entire line. Pay attention to understand the maximum load of the circuit used, and do not exceed this limit during use, otherwise it is easy to cause an accident.
