Power Singapore to invest US$537.6 million in green energy development in Vietnam

Singapore's state-owned energy company, Singapore Power Group (SP Group), recently decided to invest a total of S$750 million (US$537.6 million) in green energy construction in Vietnam by 2025. SP Group plans to expand rooftop photovoltaic power generation capacity to 1.5GW by 2025, SP Group subsidiaries plan to further expand renewable energy power generation capacity by 1GW during this period, and finally establish a development target of 2.5GW. Singapore Power Corporation predicts that Vietnam’s demand for rooftop photovoltaics will grow by 6-7% annually, and it is highly feasible to achieve the goal of renewable energy generation capacity by 2025.
