Amazon and AES Sign Power Purchase Agreement for California Solar and Storage

Amazon said on May 5 that it entered into two power purchase agreements with power company AES to purchase renewable energy power from a 450MW PV + 225MW/1200MWh battery storage system in CAISO’s service area. Amazon just added another 3.5GW of renewable energy purchases in mid-April, including two large-scale solar-plus-storage projects, one in Arizona and the other in California.
